Amour, acide et noix

Three nights, a single opportunity. An opportunity to see Daniel Léveillé’s work, created 23 years ago, which has travelled the world … and left an everlasting imprint in its wake.

As an encore, because we must see it again! This work premiered at Agora de la danse in 2001. There are books that leave an indelible impression, music that you can’t get enough of, films that you want to see again and again. The opportunity to witness the recreation of such an enthralling dance piece is a rarity. Four dancing bodies reveal what nestles beneath the strangely opaque skin. Amour, acide et noix speaks of loneliness, but also and above all of the infinite tenderness of touch as a balm against the harshness of life. Daniel Léveillé offers nudity as the only alternative to a reading of the body, for isn’t skin our true costume? After performances in Germany, France, Austria, Italy, Denmark, Slovenia, Croatia, Spain, Mexico, Brazil, etc., Amour, acide et noix is back in Tiohtiá: ke/Montréal with a new distribution.
