Founded in 1989 by choreographer Hélène Blackburn, Cas Public focuses on choreographic creation based on the renewal of approaches to contemporary dance. In 2001, the company successfully ventured into the realm of young audience performances, defining itself since then as a contemporary dance company aimed at all audiences. Recognized for its spirited and high-performance dance, Cas Public’s reputation has been built thanks to the exceptional quality of its creations and a regular presence on national and international stages.

A longtime collaborator as a performer in several of the company’s creations, Cai Glover left Cas Public in 2022 to pursue his personal journey. An atypical artist in a hearing world, he actively works as a choreographer, without completely abandoning performing. He develops a personal style in which he eloquently and poetically poses questions of language, identity, and inclusion. He returned in 2024 to work alongside Hélène Blackburn as an associate artist and co-choreographer.
