Aware that social responsibility is also crucial, part of the funds raised during our benefit evening are donated to a long-standing partner: La Dauphinelle – Shelter for women and children who are victims of domestic violence.
Funding is often a crucial issue for creators. Agora’s response was to foster special ties with the business community and gradually establish a creation fund thanks to the generosity of patrons, individuals and companies. Florence Junca-Adenot, chair of Agora’s board of directors and recipient of the 2007 Arts-Affaires award, was this project’s driving force more than 23 years ago.
Contributing to Agora de la danse’s Creation Fund means nurturing talent, originality and the creative spirit of dance artists and artisans through the creation of original and powerful choreographic works. Today’s creations are tomorrow’s heritage!
A fundraising gala is organized each spring to help us achieve our goals. Bringing together more than two hundred personalities from the financial world, this is one of the most original and stimulating evenings in the art world. The purpose of this evening is to promote the effervescence of contemporary dance, help Agora de la danse continue its mission, and strengthen ties between the business and dance communities.
