Établie à Montréal, Marie Claire Forté est animée par le potentiel relationnel, expérientiel et expérimental de la danse. Chorégraphe et danseuse, elle mène ses propres projets et travaille notamment avec Louise Bédard, Aurélie Pédron, PME-ART et Martin Bélanger. Actuellement, elle est interprète en résidence à l’Agora de la danse (2017-2019). She danced for four seasons at the now defunct Le Groupe Dance Lab in Ottawa, training daily with Peter Boneham. He remains her great friend and mentor, and they are currently working on a book about his teaching practice.
En 2016, le Programme de soutien à la production artistique Leonard & Bina Ellen lui donne l’occasion de réaliser le projet d’exposition et la publication bilingue – I’d rather something ambiguous. Mais précis à la fois. avec son amie Sophie Bélair Clément.
Alongside and through her artistic practice, she translates, writes and teaches dance. Des personnes et des institutions nourrissent son parcours protéiforme dont k.g. Based in Montréal, Marie Claire Forté is driven by the relational, experiential and experimental potential of dance. As a choreographer and dancer, she leads her own projects and has recently been working with Louise Bédard, Aurélie Pédron, PME-ART and Martin Bélanger. She is currently dancer in residence at l’Agora de la danse (2017-2019). Elle a dansé quatre saisons pour le défunt Groupe Lab de danse (Ottawa) où elle s’entrainait auprès de Peter Boneham. Il demeure son grand ami et mentor, et elle travaille avec lui à la rédaction d’un ouvrage sur sa pratique d’enseignement.
