DIRT

The result of a Canadian-Swedish alliance between choreographers Emmanuelle Lê Phan and Elon Höglund, Tentacle Tribe combines their experience and creativity to transcend the boundaries between street and contemporary dance in a unique signature. Derived from Hip Hop concepts, their gestures draw on the essence of break and popping as well as the corporality of the animal kingdom with significant partnership work. Founded in 2012, the company has 9 stage creations, notably THREESIXNINE, awarded the Prix de la danse, best choreographic work of the 2018 season, GHOST and PRISME, 6 films and a significant national and international reputation.

Elon Höglund is a Swedish multidisciplinary artist; choreographer, dancer and music producer. Elon has been performing and choreographing works for theatre, dance and contemporary circus productions since 2001. He has toured internationally with various companies and in 2005 he joined Cirque du Soleil’s The Beatles LOVE Show, where he performed as a soloist. Elon has also taught countless workshops, directed works and mentored choreographers and companies around the world.
