Looking for a rehearsal space or a dance studio? The sunny Espace Blanc studio, ideally located in the heart of downtown Montreal, is available for rental Monday to Friday, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Nestled in a dynamic environment, our studio offers a bright and spacious space for your rehearsals.

Reservations must be for a minimum of three (3) consecutive hours.

Our team is available to help you plan your time in our studio to maximize your experience.

RQD Members $30 / hour + tax
A 25% discount is offered to active members of the Regroupement québécois de la danse (RQD). Proof of membership will be required upon arrival at the Wilder Building.

Practical information

Terms of use and rental

Your reservation must take into account the time needed for preparation before the start of your activity and for tidying up the studio afterward. This means you must arrive at the time of your reservation and leave the premises at the time specified at the end of your reservation.

  • Teaching is not permitted;
  • No live performances are permitted;
  • Out of respect for the artists at work, we ask that you do not enter the studios while they are occupied, unless your reservation slot has already begun;
  • The use of amplified instruments or percussion instruments is prohibited;
  • No hazardous, odorous, or messy products, such as paint, fire, candles, smoke, gas, sand, resin, flour, talc, earth, etc., are permitted;
  • All items must be self-supporting. No anchoring to the floor is permitted;
  • All decor or planting must be removed at the end of your rental;
  • Out of respect for other renters, please put tables and chairs back in place before leaving;
  • During winter and intermediary seasons, shoes, boots, or other types of footwear are prohibited on the wooden floor;
  • If your shoes leave marks on the floor, we ask that you refrain from using them. A $50 fee will be charged for non-compliance with this rule;
  • The consumption of alcohol or drugs in the studio and common areas is strictly prohibited;
  • Filming in common areas is prohibited;
  • Subletting is prohibited.
Insurance

Agora de la danse cannot, under any circumstances or pretext, assume liability for loss or damage to equipment brought onto the rented premises. Agora recommends that the renter insure the property and equipment brought during their rental.

Cancellation

Studio reservations can be canceled with 72 hours or 2 business days’ notice. Any cancellation or schedule change is free of charge, and a full refund will be issued;
As the renter, you are responsible for the premises. Any failure to comply with the studio’s terms of use may result in the immediate cancellation of your current rental as well as future reservations, without any refund. In addition, this may subject you to legal action for damages;
In the event of cancellation outside the stipulated notice period, you will be charged an administrative fee representing 50% of the total amount of the canceled periods.

Taxi or paratransit

A secure drop-off/pick-up zone is available for people arriving by cab or paratransit in front of 1435 Rue De Bleury.

A list of taxis is available at the front desk. Security staff can call a taxi for you.

A taxi stand is located a nine-minute walk from ÉDIFICE WILDER – Espace danse at the corner of 360 Saint-Antoine West and Saint-Pierre Steet (southwest of the intersection).

PEOPLE WITH REDUCED MOBILITY

People with Reduced Mobility

The Wilder Building is accessible to people in wheelchairs or with reduced mobility by the entrance at 1435, de Bleury, where there is a paratransit drop-off/pick-up zone.

The theatre spaces including the Espace Blanc, are accessible by elevator.

A few seats are available in the front row of each venue for wheelchair users. Please note that Espace Blanc is not accessible to people with reduced mobility.

Receivers with headphones for hard of hearing people are available for our performance venues.

Kéroul

Agora de la danse has been certified as accessible to people with restricted physical ability by Kéroul. The accessible rating means that the establishment meets all accessibility criteria relating to the visitor’s journey and offers a satisfactory experience for all, including the majority of people with motor disabilities. In addition, a rating of accessible to the deaf or hard of hearing means that the establishment offers services adapted to this clientele.
