A passage, an unfolding.
Presented to a sold-out audience in May 2025, Millepertuis returns this season. Carried by the virtuoso street dance artist Walid Hammani, this tailor-made solo immediately highlights his charisma, magnetic presence, and boundless energy. Moving between exuberance and surrender, Walid, also known as Waldo, commands the stage with an intensity that holds the gaze from the very first moment.
Master of popping and electro, he moves through states of trance where virtuosity also becomes a mask. Gradually, his vulnerabilities emerge in a subtle and sensitive unveiling, echoing the millepertuis flower: a radiant yellow, yet carrying an unexpected red ink within.
Created by choreographer Sovann Rochon-Prom Tep for his friend and collaborator, the piece follows a trajectory in which euphoria slowly gives way to calm and softness, revealing the contradictions and depths of the self.
Sovann Rochon-Prom Tep, also known as Promo, is a prolific choreographer and dancer with many talents. He has been practicing breaking from a very young age and has participated as both a dancer and judge in numerous competitions around the world. Also trained in contemporary dance, he has performed with several companies, including Animals of Distinction and RUBBERBAND.
He creates sensitive and generous works with intimate and welcoming atmospheres. Driven by a constant desire to highlight street dance artists, he draws his creative material directly from their personalities and lived experiences. His work has been presented at venues and festivals including the Festival TransAmériques, Agora de la danse, the FURIES festival, La Chapelle Scènes Contemporaines, and Citadel + Compagnie.
