L'échappée

Who hasn’t dream of one day deciding to hightail it, to forget for a moment the implacable grip of logic and dare to withdraw, to enjoy a stolen moment? Karine Denault indulges in such an escape in this intimate, radiant solo. The strange character she invents seeks private spaces, openings and gaps as she makes her getaway. Elusive and enigmatic, dance for her is an escape. She is carried away by her own momentum, creating her own world as she experiences it, sliding toward an ultimate renunciation. The character infiltrates this very narrow yet free space between two obstacles, a breach in the clouds. With the greatest of ease, she takes complete possession of the stage with her instinctive style. Figures appear in flowing sequence; to dance freely at any price.
