My work at present aims to transform a spontaneous gesture sketched in pencil, substituting it with a line drawing created using a stamping technique. That approach generates large monochrome figures consisting of an arrangement of small drawings fused together, thus forming large variable-geometry figures. Produced by the repetition of delicate gestures and seemingly regular in appearance, the greatly increased impression of the initial gesture unfolds on a surface replete with strange, primitive-looking objects. These compositions evoke a similarity to textiles, leading me to explore themes linked to habitat and intimacy.
