A great street dance event in Montreal!
DNA – Danse Non Altérée – shared creative experience –
In the afternoon, DNA offers a dynamic battle for youth up to 17 years old.
In the evening, halfway between battle, improvisation and creation, dancers meet in teams, inspire and challenge each other.
A pure creative experience, rich in adrenaline!
Alexandra ‘ Spicey’ Landé
Montreal choreographer, performer and teacher, ‘Spicey’ is a major figure in hip-hop dance in Quebec. In 2005, she founded the Bust A Move Festival (2005-2015) which became the biggest street dance competition in Canada (co-presented by TOHU). Eager to further expand her artistic aspirations and to actively promote street dance and its performers, ‘Spicey’ founded the dance company Ebnflōh in 2015. With the support of collaborators and peers, her approach to hip-hop as choreography evolved, becoming more exploratory, radical and authentic. In-Word, her 2019 piece was awarded “Prix Révélation” at Les Prix de la Danse de Montréal. The piece was a finalist for the 35th Grand Prix du Conseil des arts de Montréal. Danse Danse presented her most recent work, La Probabilité du Néant in October 2021 at Place des Arts in Montreal. It will be presented in Vancouver at the end of 2023.
