Inspired by Antonio Vivaldi’s the Four Seasons, CINQ HUMEURS revisits this great classic through movement. Born of tensions and exaggeration, this is a physically demanding and atypical choreography. The choreographer enlisted four graduates from LADMMI (Les Ateliers de Danse Moderne de Montréal inc.), offering a project where professional dancers will meet members of the new generation. The Four Seasons is adapted by composer Laurent Maslé and his work seeks to bring out more urban sounding textures and contemporary resonances. Emmanuel Jouthe delivers one of his most accomplished pieces, refining his choreographic style. In this sleek and unusual group show, a beautiful vision of the modern world is on display, filled with amazement and seduction.
